About Our Global Projects

The Gateway Prayer Garden not only focuses on the individual and the local community, but global impact as well. 10% of all donations to the Garden support Global Projects through FIRE.

In 1986, Ted and Audrey Beckett, the Founders of the Gateway Prayer Garden, started the Foundation for International Research & Education (F.I.R.E), which has been a vital force, investing in leaders and ministries to bring thousands to a deeper understanding of God and their purpose in His kingdom.

The Gateway Prayer Garden (GPG) is beginning to undergird this global vision of F.I.R.E by connecting prayer with  tangible action. While GPG serves individuals and the local community, its impact extends worldwide, not only through prayer, but practically, by supporting initiatives like F.I.R.E. Together, these efforts represent a shared mission of spreading faith, hope, and transformation across the globe.

Today, India is at the heart of FIRE's ministry, the most populous nation on earth with 1.4 billion people, that presents unique challenges and opportunities for gospel outreach. With a vision to empower local leaders, FIRE stands alongside more than 500 pastors and evangelists who are faithfully serving God in their communities, equipping them to fulfill their God-given callings with boldness and impact.

Through practical support, FIRE has helped establish small businesses, improve healthcare, and expand educational opportunities in some of the most under served areas. These efforts have paved the way for prayer and leadership training, reaching villages where the gospel had never been heard before. As a result, entire communities have been transformed, experiencing the hope and redemption that only Christ brings.
