The primary responsibility for education has always rested with parents according to Biblical precepts. “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6). However, in most of the world today this responsibility has been delegated to the state. In the measure the content of education aligns with the Word of God, young people will not only receive knowledge, they will learn wisdom.

American education for the first 200 years was originally based on the Bible and has long since culturally departed from that foundation.  It is now a front line in the battle for the future.

SUGGESTED PRAYER –

Pray that parents will take personal responsibility for their children’s education by ensuring the content being taught is in harmony with a Biblical worldview and includes revelation.

Pray that educators will teach the truth about God and that a new generation of inspired and gifted teachers will understanding their calling in this arena.

Pray that the enemy’s schemes will be confronted, exposed, and defeated as he seeks to steal and destroy this generation of young people from fulfilling their God-given callings and destinies through addictions, drugs, and abortion.

Pray that parents will “adopt” and regularly pray for teachers, administrators, and staff who work in the schools to become outstanding role models by exhibiting good character.

Pray for new and vibrant leadership who will powerfully challenge, refute, and uproot humanism in all its manifestations in the mountain of education.

Pray for forgiveness for allowing government to remove prayer and the reading of God’s Word and the knowledge of Him from the classrooms of our nation and repent over our apathy.

Pray that all school personnel and students understand and practice their legal rights in school.

Pray that schools become a place where Holy Spirit is welcome and miracles can occur.

Pray the demonic forces of Baal which advocate child murder, sexual perversion, and worship of the environment where they exist in the education system be destroyed. (I Kings 18:20-29).

Pray that the mountain of education once again becomes a place where the laws of God are written on the hearts and in the minds of our children.

Pray for a new generation of textbook authors to produce quality materials that provide the knowledge of God and critical thinking skills.
