July Newsletter 2021

This summer brings new and exciting collaborative demonstrations of the Kingdom of God in the Fountain Valley and El Paso County region! The Gateway Prayer Garden team is collaborating with local pastors and spiritual leaders in August for some historic Kingdom activities both on-site and in the community.

After many months of preparation both spiritually and physically on the land, it’s our time to go to another level of Kingdom activity. Make sure you see our gathering on-site listed below as well.

• HOSTED BY “ONE BODY ONE SPIRIT”

We wanted you to be aware of an annual event that is occurring August 2-7th with local churches participating that provides another opportunity to be a part of answering Jesus most remarkable prayer in John 17:22.  He prayed to His heavenly Father, “That the very glory you have given to Me I have given them so that they will be joined together as one and experience the same unity that we enjoy.”

• SUNDAY, AUGUST 15th . . .
________________________________________________

The Gateway Prayer Garden will be the host site for Together for Life (TFL) from 1-2 PM on Sunday, August 15th. Plan to arrive any time after 12 PM (noon) to set out your blankets and chairs or sit on the prayer benches on the Prayer Trails to enjoy your picnic lunch while visiting with pro-life warriors. Present and future plans for the TFL ministry will be shared as well as the vision of the Prayer Garden.

TFL is one of the premier educational outreaches serving local churches in the Front Range sponsored by Pike Peak Citizens for Life. It equips church members in compassionately sharing God’s love and a Biblical apologetic for those struggling with a life altering circumstance/situation. A “Life” garden is planned within the larger Prayer Garden that will serve those faced with unplanned pregnancies or post-abortive consequences/ outcomes.

June Newsletter 2021

Our last communication led with “Breakthrough”! This letter leads with another important step along the way in providing a facility for you to come and visit at the Gateway Prayer Garden . . .  Our Welcome Center now has electricity, security, and wonderful décor. Thank you for praying.

Next on our list is air-conditioning and water hooked up so we can provide you with a functioning bathroom, and a cool place to visit (it’s hot out there!). The coolest place is actually walking along the Prayer Trails in the morning when there is a breeze moving through the shade trees.  Come and visit us soon to pray on the trails and for the nations inside the Welcome Center.

We now have a telephone number to call for activities on-site so be sure and put 719-565-7747 in your address book!

PENTECOST SUNDAY, MAY 23rd

Prayer_Trails_Ahead.jpg

This was the sign that greeted attendees as we gathered in the afternoon celebrating the season of Pentecost. Paul Hawkins, with over 45 years of teaching and leading schools of intercessory prayer among the nations, challenged all present to reconsider how we pray. Prayer without taking time to listen to what Holy Spirit is saying, can be less than productive because we just assume our “prayer lists” are His priorities.

CHECK OUT THIS VIDEO LINK OF THE NEWLY OPENED WELCOME CENTER !

WE ONLY HAVE 77 SCRIPTURE TILES . . .

That will be placed in the main pathway of the GROUND CROSS and you can be among the first to select the Scripture verse of your choice.  Go to this link: Be Among the First ! to make your decision or better yet - come make your personal selection on-site !

FIRST LOAD OF PAVERS ARRIVE FOR THE WALKWAY . . .

13 pallets of walkway pavers were just delivered and off-loaded to install our pathways from the parking area to the Welcome Center and in the direction of the present Cross.

EACH MONTH WE’LL BE INTRODUCING YOU TO A MEMBER OF OUR LEADERSHIP TEAM . . .

Our newest member is Theresa Moody ! She comes with a broad background in Hotels and Resorts Hospitality Leadership, is an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and considers herself a prayer warrior and passionate about pursuing God. She has seen the Kingdom of God powerfully demonstrated in her vocational ministries with personal salvations and miracles.  She is also a garden enthusiast and enjoys the foods and herbs that were given for our health and well-being. She is very happy to be onboard and looks forward to meeting you at the Gateway Garden. When you’d like to decide to visit the Prayer Garden, just call her at 719-565-7747 (our new on-site office number).

IF YOU HAVEN’T ALREADY . . .

RECENT EVENTS ON-SITE . . .

You can see our prototype Legacy Prayer Bench under development. The Scripture Tiles will carry powerful messages along the pathway to and from the large future Cross in the Garden. A physical and spiritual inheritance can be created on behalf of a loved one, family member, or even as a statement from your business ministry. Simply visit the Legacy Dedication page HERE to partner with us.

On April 4th, Resurrection Sunday morning, a local church held a breakfast worship service in celebration of Jesus rising from the grave.  This is just one of many examples of how the Prayer Garden is to serve the Front Range community. Local fellowships are welcome to make use of the land to honor our King and demonstrate His Kingdom.  Just give us a call at 719-574-0500 to make arrangements.

CIRCLE YOUR CALENDAR FOR TWO DATES . . .

THURSDAY, MAY 6THTHE NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER
Christians gathering for prayer is more important than ever this year when we consider the state of our nation, local and federal government impact of Covid-19, and the Church.  The GPG leadership will be participating on-site on-site at the Prayer Garden in the afternoon from 1-5 PM, located at 8035 Bandley Dr., Fountain, CO, 80817.  The Road at Chapel Hills church will be hosting a city-wide gathering at 6:30 PM, located at 2025 Parliament Dr., Colorado Springs, CO, 80920.  We encourage you to join us !

SUNDAY, MAY 23RD – PENTECOST SUNDAY
Once again, the Prayer Garden will host its annual gathering to celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit 50 days after the resurrection of Jesus.  This year the date is Sunday, May 23rd and we will gather in the “SEC/CON” (Security-Construction) building at 2 PM and then move outside for our service.

We are thankful for our volunteers who have helped decorate the interior of the facility and are excited for you to view it!  We’ll also take the opportunity to share with you the physical changes planned for this year and how you can participate with us.
