COME AND SEE WHAT THE LORD HAS DONE !

MAJOR PHYSICAL CHANGES ARE OCCURRING . . .
These pictures convey just some of the physical changes going on at the Garden!  We’ve planted trees, shrubs, rose’s, butterfly bushes and installed irrigation. The Cross was painted white and now lights up at night for all to see! Prayer Trails now have signs with specific content to help pray for the Kingdom to be demonstrated in the 7 “Mountains” that most impact society.

THANKS TO OUR VOLUNTEERS . . .
We have made great progress cleaning out the dead tree limbs and debris on a Third Prayer Trail which continues southward along Fountain Creek.   We are excited to see God’s specific purposes for this trail and you can pray with us for His plan!

A NEW STRUCTURE . . .
A pergola with benches was installed to provide a place to sit and be sheltered from the sun, rain, and snow.

PRAYER FOR THE NATIONS . . .
We have established a room in the Welcome Center for worship and prayer for the U.S and Nations that is open all day.  Each Tuesday at 1 PM we will gather to pray and declare the Word of the Lord over the nations and pray for the persecuted Church.  Come and join us!

CURRENT NEED . . .
We now need volunteers to help install the pavers leading from our new parking area to the beginning of the cross pathway.   Call our office at 719-574-0500 to join a volunteer work team.

FINANCIAL PARTNERSHIP . . .
Consider partnering with us to “Pave the Way to the Cross”, estimated to cost $90,000.  Another way to partner is by providing funds for a Scripture Stone ($350) or a Prayer Bench ($750) along the Cross Pathway.  Go to this link: Order Form for the exciting options you can choose from to convey a spiritual legacy in the Garden.

PATH TO THE CROSS IS OPEN . . . !
On Friday and Saturday, August 20th and 21st the big white tent was filled with men, women, and children celebrating the joy of the Lord with flags and banners.  Pastors John Bornschein, Jeff Anderson, Steve Holt, and Darrin Ronde all brought prayers and messages both challenging and timely for this Kingdom season.

The Revival Celebration was in remembrance of what happened in downtown Fountain a hundred years ago in 1921 when the Holy Spirit brought spiritual life in a powerful way to the city.

Local believers heard about our plans through Facebook, emails, newspaper articles, local radio announcements, and invites to make this a wonderful time of celebration and experiencing the reality and vision of the Gateway Prayer Garden.

The green and white roofed food tent provided overflow for the approximately 300 attendees as well as a place to informally meet and enjoy a bite to eat.

This celebration was the Gateway Prayer Garden’s dedication event. We thank ALL the volunteers who contributed with the sweat of their brows, in prayer, and financially. Those from The Table church and High Place Ministries helped spiritually prepare for God’s presence prior to the event and were a great blessing.

This celebration was the Gateway Prayer Garden’s launch of a new phase of ministry to a broader audience. We thank ALL the volunteers who contributed with the sweat of their brows, in prayer, and financially. IN THIS PRESENT HEALTH CHALLENGE  . . .
It’s a good reminder to recognize that sickness and disease comes from the evil one who is ALWAYS working to discourage followers of Jesus. As we are “temples” of the Holy Spirit, the responsibility is ours to be informed and equipped for maximum care of our bodies. When it comes to COVID-19, we recommend you visiting the following website link: Health Recovery which has been used with outstanding results in El Paso County battling this insidious sickness.

CHANGE IN RESPONSIBILITIES . . .
It’s been my privilege to provide leadership in laying foundations for the Gateway Prayer Garden ministry over these past five years in serving as Director. We’ve had many challenges as most of you know and were thrilled to be able to host many of you during the 100-year Revival Celebration recently on-site. The physical changes were dramatic, many of which only occurred in the past several weeks.

Audrey Beckett along with her husband Ted received a commission from the Lord in 2016 to build a Prayer Garden at the southern gateway to Colorado Springs. It is to be a place to demonstrate the Kingdom of God through prayer and outreach both locally and into the nations. Audrey has felt she is to take a more hands-on role in this season of change and will be overseeing future communications and greater decision-making in the future activities at the Garden.

I’m sure she’ll appreciate your prayers for increased wisdom and direction from the Lord as we enter our next season of growth.

August REVIVAL INVITE 2021

FRIDAY & SATURDAY, AUGUST 20 & 21 –

In just a few days we’ll be celebrating at the Gateway Prayer Garden under big tents . . . !

• Food Trucks 4pm
• Praise and Worship
• Celebration Begins 5:30pm

In 1921 a big tent revival occurred in the Front Range of Colorado in downtown Fountain.  We are celebrating the 100-year anniversary of that event and simultaneously anticipating another visitation of the Holy Spirit at the Gateway Prayer Garden on Friday and Saturday, August 20-21.  We will have praise and worship, and messages given both evenings.  Food trucks will be present starting at 4 PM and come early to enjoy the Prayer Trails prior to the meetings.

Praise and worship begins at 5:30 PM and plan to come early to make sure you’ve got a seat.  Friday night’s speaker will be Jeff Anderson from Congressman Lamborn’s office just returned from Iraq and Steve Holt from The Road Church will speak on Saturday night.

Jeff Anderson –
Jeff serves as the Senior Faith Advisor to Congressman Doug Lamborn, leading the faith-based community outreach and collaboration in the Pikes Peak Region.  As a Pastor in Colorado Springs for 25 years, Jeff is uniquely qualified for this role.

Jeff is also the President of the International Bible Conference (IBC) and began conducting International Bible conferences in 2004, encouraging and exposing indigenous pastors to expository preaching.  IBC has ministered to tens of thousands of pastors in India, Nepal, Philippines, Laos, Thailand, Albania, Russia, the Caribbean, Brazil, Uganda, Liberia, Kenya, Tanzania and most recently Iraq and Lebanon.

Jeff is a native of the Fountain Community, where his parents started Widefield Community Bible Church and his first school was Webster Elementary next door to the church.

Steve Holt –
Steve is a father of seven, husband of one, and the founding Pastor-Teacher of The Road @ Chapel Hills. He loves hunting, fly fishing, taking prayer walks, hanging out around a roaring fire with men, and coaching his sons and daughters to love Jesus. He loves reading history, theology and poetry. Steve is author of The God Wild Marriage and Worshipper Warrior.

Before starting The Road @ Chapel Hills, Steve and Liz were missionaries in Japan for ten years and came to Colorado Springs in 1994. They have been married for over thirty-five years.

Steve has a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.) from Master’s Seminary and a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Missiology from Fuller Theological Seminary. He is a graduate of University of Georgia where he was a scholarship athlete in gymnastics.
