Prayer Garden News - January 2018
Dear Friends of Gateway, As we begin our second full year of Prayer Garden activity, we have much to communicate and our hearts are full of anticipation for His plans for 2018.
Cleanup of the Prayer and Meditation Trail along Fountain Creek on Saturday, January 27th!
This Saturday we’ll be working along the Fountain Creek on the east side of the Garden site and cleaning our brush, logs, etc., so we can begin designing and laying out the Meditation Trail. Come and join in anytime from 9 o’clock onward in the morning. Bring gloves and a rake if you have one!

Answer to Come Soon on Zoning For The Garden . . .
Many of you have known clarification of our zoning status has been delayed. We are happy to share that a candid and very positive meeting occurred on Thursday, January 11th in the Fountain City government offices with the new City Attorney, Troy Johnson and the Deputy City Manager, Todd Evans. Amy Lathen, former El Paso County Commissioner and a member of our Advisory Board, was able to be in attendance as we made our case and we felt we received a fair hearing.
Please pray that the City Attorney will have wisdom in deciding the outcome that will be best for all parties concerned both in the short and long term. We hope to have the answer for you in the near future.
Circle the Date on your Calendar . . .
On May 14th a celebration of the 70th anniversary of the modern state of Israel will occur and we plan to have a special gathering at the Gateway Prayer Garden. More details to follow . . .
